Stats-of-1 Founder Joins Statistical Advisory Committee for Digital Health Measurement Standards and Regulations
Last updated: Dec 21, 2023
Stats-of-1 Founder and Chief Editor Eric J. Daza will be joining the Statistical Advisory Committee (SAC) for an exciting new Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) Digital Health Measurement Collaborative Community (DATAcc) project. The DATAcc is “a collaborative community with the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH).”
As a SAC member, Daza will be able to directly improve healthcare standards and clinical trial regulations across industry, government, and academia through methodological excellence. The project is focused on improving analytical validation processes for novel digital measures by refining current statistical methodologies—and assessing their performance with real-world data. Daza will help define industry-wide digital endpoints derived from digital health technologies (DHTs).
Daza writes: “I was extremely honored to be invited by DiMe to help shape this seminal work. As I wrote under question 5 of my 2022 Forbes-linked interview, getting digital measures ship-shape is a critical gap—and I’m inspired by what DiMe and others have been doing to fix it.”
